If you’ve ever taken a dip into the world of Instagram fitness girls, you’ll be more than familiar with Bakhar Nabieva (Бахар Набиева). She’s the girl who has the enormous legs and the tiny waist – and one of the biggest fitness icons on the internet.
Originally from Baku in Azerbaijan, Bakhar has made her name by working hard and a whole lot of squats.

1. She is a survivor of bullying
Unfortunately, like many others, Bakhar Nabieva was a victim of bullying during her formative years.
Many of the children at school would give her a hard time due to her being so thin. However, even at such a young age, she still had motivation and drive began to shine through.
Rather than take the abuse from her classmates, she decided to do something about it…
2. The Gym Helped Her Through
This is how Bakhar fought back. Nabieva decided that she would get herself into the gym and start building some serious muscle.
She began studying bodybuilding magazines and lifting weights and experimenting with nutrition. It was only a matter of time before she found out what worked for her and allowed her to build the powerful legs and strong frame that we all know today.
3. Bakhar Nabieva has no plans to become a bodybuilder
One of the main questions that Bakhar Nabieva gets asked is when is she going to become a bodybuilder.
She clearly has the foundation and attitude to become one of the greats. However, she doesn’t feel the need to put herself through something like that.
Bakhar has said in interviews the main turn off for her when it comes to bodybuilding is not the working out – but the diet. It’s too strict. She prefers to eat what she likes and enjoy herself.
Instead, she competes in Bikini fitness competitions. These don’t demand an extremely low body fat and her body can still get the admiration it deserves.
4. Her favorite muscle group to train is legs! (Big Surprise!)
When it comes to working out, Bakhar concentrates on her glutes, hamstrings and quads. Apparently these are the muscle groups that she enjoys the most… who would’ve thought!
Regardless, she must like them a lot given how impressive they are. According to Nabieva, she enjoys squats, leg press and leg extensions.
When it comes to hamstrings, she does a lot of isolation exercises.
Usually, she trains in reps ranges of 6 – 10, and if she’s really chasing a pump, she’ll go as high as 15 reps per set.
5. Doesn’t like dieting, Bakhar prefers cake!
Who can blame her? But she must be doing something right to get such a desirable physique. According to Bakhar, she typically enjoys meat, eggs and as a cheat food she loves cake.
6. Brazilian models are her icons!
You can tell that Bakhar Nabieva must’ve set her standards high to get to the level that she’s at – so it should come as no surprise that her main fitness icons are Brazillian models.
How else could she have gotten the idea to build big, strong powerful legs?
Nabieva claims that one of the more notable Brazilian models that she admires is Gracyanne Barbosa.
7. She now lives in Ukraine
Bakhar has now moved from Baku, Azerbaijan and now lives in western Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
